The superuser on Debian Linux

The superuser on Debian Linux is called "root". The root user can install programs and read the system files and modify them.

To install a program, I must be the root user. To be the root user, I need to issue the command in Terminal:

su

I will need to enter the password I created when I installed Debian Linux.
